ODBC
ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) allows the free flow of information between Sage Timberline Office and other ODBC-compliant programs, such as Microsoft Office applications and other commonly used programs.
You simply select the Sage Timberline Office data you want to access, then link it to your other program. Once the link is established, you can easily keep your Sage Timberline Office accounting information current in the other program. You can also use other software programs to write to certain fields in your Sage Timberline Office system. As an example, use ODBC to transfer a vendor database from another program into Sage Timberline Office.
Open compatibility
Move data back and forth between Sage Timberline Office applications and other popular software, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Access.
- Use ODBC to mail merge a Word document with Sage Timberline Office vendor information to alert vendors who need to update their insurance.
