Development Partner Program
The Development Partner Program (DPP) facilitates the integration of third-party solutions with Sage Timberline Office. Development partners are valuable resources that extend the functionality of Sage Timberline Office. Development partners receive valuable benefits, including technical support to help them independently develop integrated products, and marketing support to introduce and effectively promote the solutions to our channel and customers.
The Development Partner Program also supports Sage Timberline Office customers who want to customize the Sage Timberline Office functionality. These customers enroll in the program as a customer development partner. The solutions or customizations developed by customer development partners are licensed for internal use only and may not be resold.
Technical Benefits
Development partners receive numerous technical benefits, such as access to Sage Timberline Office software and the Software Development Kit, to help them integrate their solutions into Sage Timberline Office products.
- Access to product demos and upgrades
- Access to technical tools and documentation, such as the Software Development Kit (SDK), sample code, and database schema
- Five hours of technical support, initiated via e-mail. Responses are handled via e-mail or phone
- Access to early release versions of Sage Timberline Office
- Access to Sage Timberline Office Anytime Learning
- Access to the On-Line Timberline Technical Support Knowledgebase
Marketing Benefits
Once your product is available, the Development Partner Program provides on-going marketing opportunities to effectively market your third-party product to our extensive channel of partners and end users. Marketing benefits are not applicable to the Customer Development Partner Program.
- Provide your corporate and third-party product information on the Development Partner Products page
- Announcement of your program membership and new product availability during regularly scheduled Sage Timberline Office Business Partner conference calls
- Invitation to participate in Sage Software's worldwide Business Partner, Consultant and Customer conferences
- Direct-mail opportunities to our channel of resellers
- Direct-mail opportunities to Sage Timberline Office customers
- Use of the Sage Software Development Partner logo for your Web site and marketing materials
Requirements
Sage Software looks for development partners with innovative products that meet the needs of our construction and real estate markets. Accepted partners must:
- Develop products that add value by extending the functionality of the Sage Timberline Office suite.
- Develop products that do not compete with Sage Timberline Office Products.
- Submit a completed application, including reference accounts that represent product quality, service, and support for their product(s).
- Agree to the Development Partner Program Agreement.
- Keep products current and compatible with current Sage Timberline Office products.
- Maintain an Internet address for communicating and exchanging files.
- Supply a copy of their software and literature, if requested, at no charge.
- Assume responsibility for the support of their products.
Note: Development partner products are approved on a product-by-product basis.
