System Requirements
The hardware and software requirements below provide a general guideline for your information. Additional requirements may be necessary depending on specific software application purchase. For more information, please contact your Sage Timberline Office business partner, or submit an information request.

Supported Operating Systems
  • Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003 Enterprise Edition.
  • Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition.
  • Windows Small Business Server 2003.
  • Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
  • Windows 2000 Server.
  • Windows 2000 Professional.
  • Windows XP Professional.
Processor
  • Server: 1.8 GHz minimum for the server that contains the DocuVault (1 GHz for Document Management plus the existing 800 MHz requirement for other Sage Timberline Office applications).
  • Workstation: 800 MHz minimum.
Memory
  • Server operating systems: 1.5 GB RAM minimum for the server that contains the DocuVault (1024 MB for Document Management plus the existing 512 MB requirement for other Sage Timberline Office applications).
  • Workstation operating systems: 256 MB RAM minimum
Hard Disk Space
The following requirements are for program files. Add additional space for data files.1
  • Accounting and management products on a server or stand-alone computer: 600 MB plus 25 MB per accounting and management application.2
  • Accounting and management products on a workstation: 295 MB (this assumes that a server hosts accounting and management data).2
  • Estimating products on a server, workstation, or stand-alone computer: 260 MB.2
  • Document Management on a server: 10-100 GB, depending on adoption rate, implementation goals, and a five-year storage/capacity projection. 3
  • Document Management on a workstation: 500 MB-1GB, depending on apotion rate, implementation goals, and a five-year storage/capacity projection.3
  • Residential Management on a server, workstation, or stand-alone computer: 580 MB.
Other Requirements
  • CD-ROM drive.
  • USB Port (Document Management and/or Estimating)
  • Crystal Reports® Professional or Sage Timberline Office Crystal Reports (required to modify or create Crystal Reports designs).
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 (Service Pack 1).
  • Microsoft Outlook® (required to use e-mail features).
  • TWAIN compliant scanner (required to scan documents in Document Management)
  • SVGA monitor (800 x 600 resolution; 17 inch monitor at 1024 x 768 resolution recommended for Database Editor, Document Management, and Project Management).
  • Printer.
  • WinFax Pro 10.0, 10.01, or 10.03 (required to send faxes in applications with this feature).

Supported Protocols
TCP/IP

Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol. Microsoft Server defaults to this protocol.

RDP 5

Remote Display Protocol. Microsoft remote protocol, which is used in its remote connection applications.

ICA

Independent Computing Architecture. Citrix remote protocol, which is used in its remote connection application.
